Omaha Metropolitan Chapter, Inc.
National Coalition of 100 Black Women- Omaha Metropolitan Chapter

In 2002, a group of women motivated with a desire to make a difference in Omaha came together to develop an interest group known as the Interest Group of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women.

This newly formed group became the NCBW Omaha Metropolitan Chapter on May 3, 2003.

Our vision is to serve as a viable women's organization that will work with sincerity and diligence to become an effective, intricate entity in the Greater Metropolitan Omaha area. Our motto, listed above, reflects our desire to be action-oriented and strive for change.

The chapter promotes an environment within the organization that is hospitable. Ideas and information are shared to promote teamwork and equality.

These are our keys to success:
  • Open communication
  • Professionalism
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Accountability
  • Integrity
  • Honor
  • Trust
  • Flexibility
  • Innovation
  • Respect

Our programs are designed to increase the economic growth, health & wellness, educational, political and social gains for women of color, with specific emphasis on enhancing the quality of life and lifestyles of all African-American women in the Metropolitan Omaha community.

Since 2003, our programs have provided education, training, and scholarship assistance to over 500 women. As we celebrate our 5th anniversary as a Chapter, the Coalition is poised to serve this community in many new ways. Building on a history of advocacy, service, and empowerment, our members are focused on impacting the lives of metro area women of color in the areas of health, education, economic empowerment and leadership development. We have developed an aggressive program of work and we know that through diligent planning, strategic alliances, and consistency, we can develop significant, sustainable programs that will have an impact on the entire city. Whether you’re considering becoming an NCBW member, community partner, or corporate sponsor, there is a seat for you at the table if you’re ready to join our movement.

We are not a social club...we are for
