OUR HISTORY
The National Coalition of 100 Black Women- Omaha Metropolitan Chapter was chartered in May of 2003. We are an affiliate of the national organization, and work locally through volunteers to approach our community with innovative, advocacy solutions.
Since 2003, our programs have provided education, training, and scholarship assistance to over 500 women. As we launch our 8th year, as a Chapter, the Coalition is poised to serve this community in many new ways. Building on a history of advocacy, service, and empowerment, our members are focused on impacting the lives of metro area women of color in the areas of health, education, economic empowerment and leadership development.
We have developed an aggressive program of work and we know that through diligent planning, strategic alliances, and consistency, we can develop significant, sustainable programs that will have an impact on the entire city. We have partnered with Wells Fargo, Metropolitan Community College, Woodmen of the World, ConAgra Foods, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., 100 Black Men of Omaha, Women’s Fund of Greater Omaha, NAACP, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., State Farm, Urban League of Nebraska and other organizations to fulfill our mission.
